My journey as a Montessori educator began in 2009, and I’ve had the privilege of teaching for over 16 years now. From a very young age, I knew I wanted to be a teacher, though I didn’t initially know much about the Montessori method. That changed when I began my Montessori certification — I was completely captivated. The philosophy, the respect for the child, and the emphasis on independence truly inspired me. I quickly realized how powerful and transformative Montessori education could be, not only for children but also for the adults who guide them.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the incredible opportunity to work with children across every early developmental stage — from Nido (9 to 18 months), to the Toddler Community (18 months to 3 years), and into the Children’s House (3 to 6 years). Watching children grow from crawling babies into confident, capable learners is one of the most rewarding parts of my work. It’s amazing to see how much young children are truly capable of when given the right environment and guidance. Tasks as simple as pouring water, using a spoon, peeling a sticker, or sponging up a spill are all purposeful activities that build fine motor skills, independence, and self-confidence — foundational steps toward writing, reading, and problem-solving later on.

One of the things I cherish most about Montessori education is the mixed-age classroom. It fosters a beautiful dynamic where younger children learn from older peers, and older children gain leadership skills and a sense of responsibility. It’s a cycle of mutual growth and respect.

Being both a Montessori teacher and a Montessori mom has been a dream come true. When I started my training, I promised myself that if I ever had children, they would attend a Montessori school — and I kept that promise. My own child attended Montessori from Nido through Kindergarten, and I saw firsthand the incredible impact it had.

Montessori is not just about giving children freedom — it’s about giving them purposeful freedom within clear limits. We support them in becoming independent, confident, and self-aware individuals who are eager to explore and capable of achieving so much more than we often expect.

It is truly a gift to guide children during these foundational years, and I am passionate about encouraging families to experience the Montessori difference — even if just for one year. It can truly change a child’s life.
