My journey in early childhood education began in 2020, right after I graduated high school. At the time, I wasn’t sure what direction I wanted to take in life. That same year, I became an aunt, and everything changed. Being present for those early moments in my niece and nephew’s lives sparked something in me—I realized how meaningful it is to support a child’s growth. That experience helped me discover my calling.
I was drawn to Montessori education because of its deep respect for each child’s individuality. I love how it encourages independence, hands-on learning, and self-paced exploration. One of the moments that confirmed I was on the right path was seeing a child complete a task on their own and light up with pride. Witnessing that kind of self-confidence is a beautiful reminder of why our work matters.
What I love most about working with children is their curiosity and honesty. They remind me to slow down, to notice the little things, and to find joy in the present moment. I strive to model patience, kindness, and a love of learning—and to show children that mistakes are just part of the journey.
Hearing toddlers begin to express themselves with new words always makes my day. It’s in those small but powerful moments that I’m reminded how much growth happens in this stage of life.
I currently hold an Associate’s Degree in Child Development and have completed Montessori Teacher Assistant training. I’m also working toward my Bachelor’s Degree in the same field to continue deepening my knowledge and practice.
Outside the classroom, I love spending time in nature, going on peaceful walks, and thrifting—I enjoy the creativity of finding unique pieces and imagining their stories. Most of all, time with my family keeps me grounded and inspired to bring calm, connection, and joy into the classroom every day.
